Bournemouth YMCA run a variety of projects for Young People. They are:

Chatterboxes

Chatterboxes

The Chatterboxes is a youth action project run by disabled young people from Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset aged 11-25 years old, whose aim is to enable young disabled people to have their voice heard, feel safe and engaged in their community and raise awareness of disabilities with the aspiration of having a community which is equal to all.

Dorset Play Scheme

Short Breaks play sessions for 8-18 year olds living with severe and complex disailities across Dorset. Projects include peer-mentoring, youth clubs and play activities.

Fusion

Fusion

Fusion is a town centre coffee bar open to teenagers. We offer a wide range of food and drinks in a pleasant environment which includes pool and video games. We have qualified Youth Workers on hand to aid personal development, and volunteering opportunities for young people wanting to play a bigger part or seeking accreditation. Our music basement is open to young people and is equipped for individual and group practice, recordings, performances and media production. Or just plug in your mp3 player, turn up the microphone and chill with your friends.

Townsend Youth Centre

TYC has sessions for 13-19 year olds throughout the week. Sessions are a time and space for Young People to meet their friends, take part in activities and get support from the Youth Workers.

YMCA Youth Forum

The Youth Forum is a steering group made up of young people aged 15-25 representing all YMCA Bournemouth youth projects. The aim of the group is to promote youth action and ensure that our youth offer is relevant to the needs of young people in Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset.
