A guide to Generation Z.

A guide to Generation Z.

Whats different?

What is Generation Z? Generation Z is the demographic cohort after the Millennials. There are no precise dates for when this cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use starting birth years ranging from the mid-1990s to mid 2000s, and as of yet there is little consensus about ending birth years.

The Guide :
Do’s –
– Do give at least three episodes of a box set/ series a chance before you rule it out. They often don’t often get interesting until then!
– If you have an iPhone, DO make sure that messages are blue not green. Everyone hates a text and not an imessage
Don’ts –
– Don’t sign your name at the end of a text. These days you can save the number with a name. (So Nana, putting Love Nana after every text really is not needed.)
– Don’t shorten your messages. How much time do you save by missing out the ‘E’ when texting ‘TXT’??? The same with ‘U’, since when was the ‘YO’ not important??
– Don’t over use the emoji’s. Yes they are fantastic on brightening up the messages but five laughing out loud faces is the equivalent to ‘LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL’ and that’s just embarrassing.
– Don’t ring about an issue that can be discussed on text. No one likes sitting on the phone for hours when the conversation can be done in 30 minutes over text.
