Help shape Bournemouth’s Local Offer

Young people who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities aged 16+ are being asked to give their feedback on Bournemouth’s Local Offer.

The Local Offer is a wide range of information about all the support and facilities that you can expect to find in the area.

The Bournemouth Local Offer provides a one-stop shop of useful information, including:

• Education
• Health and care
• Advice and support
• Activities and leisure
• Money and finances
• Training and volunteering

Councillor Nicola Greene, Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services, said: “We are keen to raise awareness of Bournemouth’s Local Offer among local families, carers and young people who have special educational needs or disabilities and how it can help. It’s crucial that the people who it aims to help have their say in helping to shape and improve what information is made available and to ensure it is user-friendly. Ultimately the purpose of the Local Offer is to provide residents with relevant information as early as possible so that they can access help and support to improve their quality of life.”
