what is it about?

Bournemouth Bay Run is supporting the British Heart Foundation and takes place on Sunday 2nd April 2017, you can choose from different distances such as the half marathon and the 10K road race where all runners will be timed or if you dont wish to run that far there is a short distance run (5K) for the under 13s.

Let everyone know why you’re taking part and update your page with lots of photos and videos. Then get sharing! Post the link to your page on Facebook and Twitter, and email it to your friends, family, and colleagues so they can sponsor you

Start and Finishing times for the Bournemouth Bay Run:

TBC — On the day registration opens (for 5K and family fun run only)
09:15 — 10K start
09:25 — 1K start
10:00 — Half marathon start
TBC — Registration tent close
11:00 — 5K Start
14:00 — Event finish

As long as you have your participant number attached to your top and your timing chip, there is no need to check in when you arrive. But there will be an information desk should you need any assistance.
Under 18’s must download and complete an entry form and return it to the British Heart Foundation (this can be found on the website of the British Heart Foundation. Visit –


General Facilities:
All site facilities including the Information Office, luggage marquee, t-shirt collection and sponsors area will be situated close to the start/finish area. Facilities will be signposted and marshals visible onsite to assist you. If you plan on using the luggage facility, please remember to attach the luggage tag (sent in your pack).
The run is fully marshaled with first aid cover on hand. Ensure your emergency contact information is filled out on the back of your participant number.
Public toilets for runners and spectators are dotted along the route. Please stick to pavements as much as possible, especially where no road closures are in place.
Spectators are welcome to come and cheer on the runners.
